Can you please explain the difference between your date of 9AD (CE) for boy Jesus in the temple when according to Luke 2:42 it is indicated he is 12 years old at the time. According to your chronology he would be 16.
I notice you also to not add the Biblical reference to this event.

Hi Debbie. Thought experiment. What is my age? 67. If you count from my birth – the time I have breathed. 68. If you count from my conception – the time I have been alive. 40. If you count from my born again experience – the time I have been a child of God. If Jesus was only 12 years old would he be allowed in the Temple? Among the Jews age 13 is the transitions from boyhood to manhood. Could Jesus at age 12 enter the Court of the Women? Could he enter the Court of the Men? How then could he be ‘in the temple’ [Greek word is ‘Sanctuary’]? My belief based on other evidence is Jesus was 12 years back in the Holy Land after returning from his flight to Egypt when he met the Teachers. The English translation of Luke 2 v 42 says “Jesus was 12 years old”. But the Greek text only says Jesus “became years twelve”. Yes, that could mean 12 years old. But all it says is he attained 12 years. The thought experiment I hope opens our minds to the possibility 12 might be measuring something else than chronological age. I do hope that is helpful. Hi Pamela. I honestly don’t know. I just start digging under one rock and it leads me to another rock. Doesn’t the Bible say “if anyone lacks wisdom let him ask of God”? I keep asking and He keeps giving me new great and wonderful things I did not know before.
